(This is ripped from LP. In the first title of side B, there is one jumpiness around timing of three minutes.
I'm not sure if this is defect of my LP or original sound has this. And the last tone of B7 has apparent wow, which is in original sound. )

Personnel:
Saxophone [Alto] - Steve Potts
Saxophone [Soprano] - Steve Lacy
Voice - Irene Aebi

Notes
Recorded in Paris, December 14th, 1979.

This is, I guess, rare item of S. Lacy in hat Hut. Song book played by S. Lacy and S. Potts with voice of Irene Aebi. As far as I checked, this has not been reissued in CD.

  1. I'm little bit wondering why not so hot reaction to Steve Lacy. When I got interested in improviasation music (around 26 years ago),
I paid attention to him little, namely getting a few popular albums only (Forest and Zoo, Refrections, etc.). But at that time, his almubs were much easier to get (hat Hut series were sold in real time). But now, again I got interested in him, I got to know very difficult to find thme out! So I thought there some people in similar status as me....

  2. THANKS A MILLION DENEN (?) YOU CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT A GREAT GIFT YOU'VE DONE TO ME SHARING THIS LACY ALBUM!
I've been lookin' for this (and many other important Lacy albums)for too many years, the '70 albums made for Saravah and many others have been disappeared in the eighties, and as Anonyme says even Hat Hut records became hard to find. A little better with the advent of the digital audio with the reissue of the Saravah albums in the astonishing fine box titled "Scratching the seventies" and the with the "illegal" free download. I've been lookin for this in the last Years without succeding in. A great Lacy admirer and authority, founder of the Inconstant Sol" blog, told me once that this was one of his favourite so I cant't wait hearing this one. THANKS AGAIN

Only a question? Will it be possible to have this (an the other) in flac?

    SEE YOU LYM

  7. Thank you for this. If anyone knows what happened to Steve Potts I would be very interested to know the story. I really enjoyed hearing this recording. Hat has done a lot of re-issues and kept the legacy of Steve Lacy alive, even if they did not re-issue this one yet. I will try a web search on Potts.
